Hi.  We brought our HP Pavilion p6130f CPU to another country and plug it to a 220v A/C outlet. it made a Loud sound and now its not powering ON . Im wondering what could be the damage of the CPU

Typically, you need to move the red 110/220 volt selector swicth on the back on the computer (power supply) from 110v to 220v to use the computer on 220 volts. You most likely damaged the power supply and it will require replacement. You may also have damaged the motherboard and other component as well. Start by replacing the power supply. If it still doesn't work, consider a new computer.

i've replace the power supply and now the computer is now working fine. thanks .

 

By the way i have a different concern.  This computer before is running windows vista and the "Aprox Total Memory" for the DISPLAY is around 2.3mb. After Upgrading the OS to windows 7 the Aprox Total Memory is now around 1.6mb. ive updated and installed all of the drivers

Please post a screen shot of the page displaying these properties. I have a stock HP p6130y, which is the same exact computer from a different store. I have installed Windows 7 on my computer, however I didn't upgrade and performed clean install instead. I can, therefore, make very easy comparisions between our two systems and advised based on those comparisions.
