Got the same issue on My HP Pavilion 500-405nd (Dutch model) which i purchased approx a month ago
After the Windows 10 update the conductive folder in C:\Program Files is empty, no way to install it back again using the installer in C:\SWSETUP
Am i eligible for a update of the conductive ExpressCache software?
RvdH

I spoke with HP support late last week and they said exactly the same thing Dave did. Which was ExpressCache updates if/when available will be provided to HP and then to eligible computers. Mine would qualify and RvdH yours should as well. I would suggest calling them and at least letting them know.
It appears this issue is very common with this software we're not the ones dealing with it.
On a side note, I spend a great deal of time speaking with support and I have purchased a Samsung Evo 500GB SSD Harddrive to use solely for my OS and programs and that will provide me with far more speed and performance boost then ExpressCache ever could.

What would be the best practice in that case?
Remove the internal 16GB mSATA ExpressCache SSD and replace it with a 250GB or 500GB Samsung 850 EVO mSATA?
Is it even possible to make the mSATA the boot device?
Or should i better a install 2.5" SATA 250GB or 500GB Samsung 850 EVO? and make that the boot device?

I would recommend installing the OS, and all program files on the SSD and using the harddrive that came with your computer as internal storage for all your work, personal and game files. That way you can easily reformat/refresh your drive without having to backup or move around files. (except for program files.)
You won't need that 16GB mSATA ExpressCache SSD to boost performance or improve start up anymore. Having the Samsung EvO SSD as a primary drive will give you an even better boost to overall performance and startup.

Seems Lenovo just released ExpressCache (v1.3.118) software for Windows 10, eg:
http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds104444 (64-bit)
http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds104445 (32-bit)
But still no word from HP on this subject...can we expect similair update?

Oke, found workaround...
first you have to backup your old (HP OEM) license of the Condusiv ExpressCache Software, it is called 'EC.LMF' and it is located inside the 'C:\Windows.old\Program Files\Condusiv Technologies\ExpressCache' directory.
Next you can use the above supplied Lenovo installer, to install the ExpressCache (v1.3.118) software, make sure to overwrite the existing 'EC.LMF' after installation with the one you made backup from in previous step otherwise you will get a 'product is not licensed to run on this system' error

Good tip!:smileyhappy:
All we need now is for HP to post the proper update.
Thanks for posting on the forum.

Hi Guys, I have the same issue on my notebook. After upgrading to Windows 10 my express cache stopped working. I wanted to try your Lenovo trick as HP does not support their customers but I do not have the C:\Windows.old\Program Files\Condusiv Technologies\ExpressCache' directory in my notebook. Do you know where else it could be or any other solution? Thank you.

HP_EC.LMF, rename to EC.LMF
You can now use the above supplied Lenovo installer, to install the ExpressCache (v1.3.118) software, make sure to overwrite the existing 'EC.LMF' after installation with the one downloaded and renamed above otherwise you will get a 'product is not licensed to run on this system' error
