Hi,
I have the core i7 Pro 3500.
I wanted to know if you could add another gpu like the GTX 970 in it because the HD Graphics 4000 isn't very good.
I couldn't find any info on the motherboard that it has.
Would the Nvidia GTX 970 or GTX 980 work?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

If you do have version 8 BIOS, then proceed to read the following article on measuring card and installation. You need to go the actual manufacturers site to attain the physical dimensions. If doubtful, cut a card board template.
HP Envy 8 5010 Tablet
(2) HP DV7t i7 3160QM 2.3Ghz 8GB
Printer -- HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 Legal
Custom Asus Z97D, I7-4790k, 16GB RAM, WIN10 Pro 64bit, ZOTAC GTX1080 AMP Extreme 3 fan 8GB RAM, 500GB SSD, Asus PB287 4k monitor, Rosewill Blackhawk case and 750W OCZ PSU.

Here is a test: (text has been edited)
The following comes from @Big_Dave (IMHO resident hardware guru):
Open up the RUN command and enter: MSINFO32
If your PC is not running a HP version 8 BIOS then the NVIDIA GTX 7xx or 9xx series graphics cards are not going to work in your PC.
