HP 1620-48G Switch

Hello,

Does anyone knows the pinout of the HP 1620-48G Switch console cable?

We need the information to fabricate one as the original cable was misplaced.

Kindly advise.

Thank you,

Teo, Keng Boon

Hi,

I normally use RJ45 to VGA cable and I believe pin layout:

Hi banhien,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I am trying to connect the RS232 serial port (DB-9) of my laptop to the console serial port (RJ-45) of the HP 1620-48G network switch.  Will the RJ45 to VGA cable work here, given the different pinout?

Typically most network manufacturer will document the console port pinout in their product manuals, but I just cannot find such information in the HP 1620-48G network switch documentation.  Correct me if I am wrong.

Best regards,

Teo, Keng Boon
