I resently lost all sound on my monitor and have tried to update the driver but it can't be found. In Device Manager there is a ? under Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus. I have tried downloading all your products but nothing is working. Any ideas?

Hi there @DrBrainles,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts and other support personnel. I  understand that you have lost the sound on your display. I am happy to help with this.

I would suggest making sure you have the proper display driver loaded. See the following link.

HP 2010 Series LCD Monitor Driver

The other issue is going to be with your computer itself. The audio device is going to be either built into the system board or a separate card. You would need to check for the drivers for the make and model of your computer itself. If it is also an HP computer, please post the full product number. See the following, if you need help with that information.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

Once I have that I can look for any driver that we have available. Please let me know.

I just installed the driver then tried to update driver. Still says it can't. The computer is an Abit kit computer that a friend put together for me several years ago. I shall try rebooting the computer to see if that helps. Thanks for the response.

The reboot made no difference. When I try to open the driver file it tells me access denied. In use by another program. I'm at a loss. lol

I do thank you for trying. As it turns out, the problem was in the computer and not the monitor.
