Hey folks,
Having some issues with my new HP 27ES. It seems to be in the current "factory burn in" - it's showing Red, Green, Blue, Black, and White.
It seemed to have come out of the box this way.
I researched this problem and there seems to be a combination of keys you need to hit, or a reset button. I haven't been able to find either of these.
Model Name: 27es
FW ver: RIM111
Auto Color: Done
Panel: LM270WF5-RSBR1
Thanks,

Repost of what I had intended as a public post:
Hi there @Liquid_War,
May the Forums be with you! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I understand that your is doing a test pattern when powered on and connected. I am happy to help with this.
Please see this document: HP and Compaq Flat Panel Displays - Display Quality Issues. You can look through all of it, but focus on the last section on "General troubleshooting tips for display quality issues".
Please let me know whether that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.

Thank you for the information in your PM response, now addressing that. If you are unable to access the OSD menu, it may be locked. Press and hold the MENU button for about 10 seconds, then release, then again try the instructions for doing a factory reset of the display.
Let me know if that works for you.

Hello @Malygris1,
Thank you for your reply. It would appear that I am unable to locate the menu button. Is it possible for you to tell me which one it is? The buttons on this monitor do not appear to be labeled.
Thanks,
Liquid

Looking at the HP 27es 27-inch User Guide, which is actually for several models, page 10 of 33, you should find a guide to the front bezel controls. According to that, in order from left to right they are: Menu/Ok, Information/Minus, Input/Plus, Auto Adjustment/Quick View/Exit, and then Power.
I hope this helps.

Hello again Malygris1,
Thank you for that information.
However, after holding the menu/ok button for about 10 seconds, there has been no change with the monitor.
When I press and hold the menu button for 10 seconds, It displays information about the monitor in the bottom right corner of the screen and in red text it says "key 1 pressed", and the information pane goes away after about 5 seconds and the colors keep going through the cycle.
Thanks,
Liquid

After following the instructions to unlock the OSD, and clearly there was a response, did you then try the instructions I gave you to do the factory reset?

OK, in that case, I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post serial numbers and case details.
If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, this post has instructions.
