not really sure i know of a way to figure out ahead of time if the PSU is going to work.  are you unable to order from newegg or ebay wherever you are located?

when i will be able to buy the booster and it is working i could make one 🙂 (not that easy in my country to get a booster) it could be more weeks 😕

There is no way afaik to know upfront if the psu is going to work. I have read reports that if you keep away from the really cheap ones available on the market right now you should be fine, but I have no way of confirming that. My advice is... try to do my aproach first. Don't modify your precious psu until you have it well tested (power on for a few hours, stand by, suspend and push your gpu to the limit) . That way you wouldn't end up with an expensive paperweight.

 

It is not enough to have your psu running ok and providing the right voltages without any load (shorting PowerOn and Ground). When connected to the mboard, psus behave differently. I know this for a fact.

 

Next time I feel like modding my rig, I will replace the psu fan for a fan of the same size but with 4 wires instead of 2.

Can anyone guess how it will be wired?

Why 4 wires are preferable instead of 2 wires of your psu bro ?
