My w2207h monitor has been working well connected to 2 computers. A Dell laptop connected with HDMI cable and a Fujitsu PC connected with VGA cable. I switch between the 2 using the monitors menu button and the "Switch video input" function. However, I have just bought a Mac Mini and connected via the HDMI but now, switching from the VGA to HDMI causes the monitor to crash/power down. Even the light around the power button goes out and nothing works. The only way to turn the monior display back on is to remove the power cable for a few minutes. The monitor works with another old laptop connected via HDMI as doeas the Mac Mini connected to an old television. I thought HDMI was HDMI but this monior does not like my Mac. Any ideas?

Thanks for the information Dunidar. A long session running tests with Apple confirmed this monitor will not work with the Mini Mac. The only solution was to buy a new monitor 😞

Hello @cm23dave,
I understand that you are having issues with connecting your HP w2207h Monitor to your Apple computer. According to the HP Support document: Updating a Monitor Driver ' HP monitors are not supported in a Mac environment. However, newer Macs use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP LCD monitors. To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC. The monitor should operate at 60Hz. The INF and software for the HP monitor are for Microsoft Windows and cannot be run in a standard MAC OS environment.'
I hope this helps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
