About a few months ago I factory reset my PC and in that process I lost my saved passwords on Internet Explorer and Firefox on different websites Is there any way to recover those passwords or are they gone forever? I don't remember if I used a recovery disk to save my information but I'm pretty sure I didn't. Can there still be a possiblity of recovery?

@AmyGxselle, welcome to the forum.

I wish that I had better news for you, but I am afraid that your passwords are gone forever.  Your best option is to see if you can change them or you may have to open new accounts on those websites.  You can check with their Tech Support for help, also.

>  I lost my saved passwords on Internet Explorer and Firefox on different websites,

Most of those web-sites, right below the input-fields for ID & password, have a "forgot my ID" and/or a "forgot my password" hyperlink.  When you created your ID/password, you probably submitted your E-mail ID to that site.

So, the web-site will send an E-mail to your ID, telling you what your ID is, or will send you a hyperlink (valid only for a few hours) to let you set a new password.  Hopefully, you have not changed your E-mail ID without updating it on that web-site, so that you can access E-mail sent to the "registered" ID.

The Yahoo Mail web-site can also send a text-message to your cell-phone, if you submitted your phone-number when you created the ID.

Specifically, which web-sites were you logging-in to?
