HP ProDesk 600 G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So, I understand that the Prodesk 600 G1 with a Intel i5-4590 CPU supports up to 3 displays using the 1 VGA and 2 Display Ports.

My question is, if I install an AMD Radeon HD5450 GFx card (1 VGA, 1 HDMI and 1 DVi - supporting up to 2 displays):

1. Does it disable the onboard GFx?

2. If not, will I be able to support 5 displays or will I still be limited to 3?

Hi,

1. Yes,

2. Good luck with 3 displays.

Am I to assume that the onboard GFx does not support 3 displays either even though it is stated clearly in the documentation that it does?

Hi,

Depending on options, it only supports 2 displays with an external video card (from the original/option list):

I recently bought 3 of these units with the hope of utilizing a dual- monitor configuration.  I am experiencing 2 issues:

1.  I cannot get a display to show up when just connecting ONLY an  HDMI monitor to the tower using the supplied Display port to HDMI adapter.  It is not recognized at all. Is there something in the BIOS I must change or "turn on"? The only video option  I see is grayed out.

2.  Must I install and use a video card in order to have a dual-monitor configuration?  I thought I could use the display port for one monitor and the integrated Intel 4400 VGA port for the other monitor.

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated, as these units were purchased for a client with the specific need of dual-monitor capability.

Thanks in advance!
