HP Touchsmart 300-1020 Powers up, blank screen, never boots

Hello days:

          Chear up You need to call Microsoft Technical support. for this fix. 1-800-642-7676 You need to call this number as soon as we can get you back into windows. Safe mode or what ever. They had to fix my HP Touchsmart 600-1050 Windows 7 64bit.  The problem lies in security updates and Antivirus software conflic.  Can you try a fource start and see what happens? Turn on your computer and just pull cord out the power supply box. Ounce computer is off now plug back in the cord and turn on your computer. If success you will see the safe mode screen or the Start up failer screen. If safe mode screen is showing please select safemode with net working. Then call Microsoft so they can connect remotely to your computer and fix the issue. Now if start up failer screen starts let it reload it's files ounce loaded it tell you restart your computer. Restart it may seem normal but please call Microsoft so they can fix your start up issue. Please post if this still fails ok. frrw

Does anhyone agree that this could be an invertor issue? Part number 530411-001

I have no video, no beeps no sounds from windows starting (although the customer may have a passworded signon screen) I have it open but see no obvious damage to the invertor.

Has anyone found a solution?  I have a Touchsmart IQ504 that has power but only gives me a black screen too.  I paid HP for support but they could not help me at all.

From my experiance with HP support and trying a new invertor the cost to figure this out outweighs the value of the system. It seems to be motherboard o related but we are not going to swap it out.

Let's say this is a converter problem.  Do you know if I can still have my documents on my computer transfered by a professional or am I at a complete loss losing everything?

Had my HP for 4years now , switched it on the powers up,black screen,won't boot can some help what I should do???

I'm having the same problem. Turn the computer on, CPU fan sounds like a jet engine, screen is blank.

I've tried resetting the BIOS to default settings per http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02217843.

I've taken the hard drive out and tested it in another machine. It is fine.

Does this machine have POST leds? Any idea where they are?

Any other ideas out there?

Just had mine fixed got it yesterday and its working good. The motherboard has a chip that only gives power to screen just as any LCD,plasma tv and if that won't function your screen will stay blank. So get that fixed and all good to go. Costed me $100 to get mine fixed. Good luck
