I think the better choice is buying a gtx680mX version and than overclock it

Though its going to be difficult to find the graphic card(look at he subvendor :smileysad:, but  less expensive

As you can see this bios version is not modded so there is more room for overclocking it and stable at a Higher Core Votage :smileyhappy:

Hi All,

I have finally got my MXM replaced. It seems that the 675M I had is having problem.

They have replace my card with a new 780M after my four complain. I'm glad that have upgrade to a better card but..............when I open the 780M it doesn't seems to be fit with the HP type B HSF.

Does anyone have the same experience? Any solution to that please?

What do you mean when you say "when I open the 780M it doesn't seems to be fit with the HP type B HSF."

MXM Type B cards are the same szie and shape and should all fit.

A photo of your card would help a lot.

Hi All, just found this thread 🙂 Have posted the following on another thread(/t5/Workstations-z-series-xw-series/HP-Z1-Upgrading-Graphics-Card-PLEASE-HELP/m-p/6304269/highlight/... but this one seems to have more of a following....  I too have purchased a " I too have purchased a "PNY GeForce GTX 680M Graphics card - 4 GB - GDDR5 SDRAM" and installed it, but i have found that it makes a heck of a noise and eventually it closes the screen down (BLACK)...so i then place the Quadro 500 back in. My intent is to play WoW...and on the couple of occaisions i have been able to (with new card) WOW 🙂 makes a world of difference...Could there be a need to upgrade fans at all...your thoughts?" and installed it, but i have found that it makes a heck of a noise and eventually it closes the screen down (BLACK)...so i then place the Quadro 500 back in.
