I want the sound to play on the laptop that my HP w2338h monitor connects to...not on the monitor speakers. I can't find the option to change audio output. Please help!

Hey there! @mlambagnol, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!
I understand you want the audio to be played from your laptop instead of your monitor.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
How have you connected your monitor to laptop?
Please try the steps recommended below.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
Click Start Start button, and then click Control Panel or search for the control panel.
Click Hardware and Sound.
Under Sound, click Manage audio devices.
Click the playback device from which you want to output sound.
Click Set Default, and then click OK.
Refer this article to further troubleshoot Sound Problems with External Speakers.
Let mee know if this works!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂
