Hi,
I'm struggling to reset the power on password for this model (HP Pavilion 500-111ea) also. I tried first of all to take out the CMOS battery, then put it back in after 20mins. Then I was getting 6 system beeps at boot up, and nothing on the display, so it now doesnt like the additional grapics card on it, so took out the new graphics card for now, and system beeps stopped - still wanting a power on password. After reading this forum, I reset the jumpers as instructed, although still no joy! Any other ideas please?
