I recently bought a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-390jp desktop PC. I was able to change the the Win7 Ultimate OS language to English. But the bios seems to be in Japanese only and I am not aware of the procedure to change it to English. Please help.

Depending on the BIOS, enter the BIOS setup at the first splash screen (blue HP invent) on startup.  There should a place on the first screen to change the language to English.  Possibly directly under the date setting.  OR install an English versio of the BIOS, see here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=pv-88852-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...

Thanks. The first screen in BIOS has a Language setting below the date and time fields. I selected English language. Had to google the Japanese alphabets for "English language" ==> 英語
