Hi,
I just bought this PC : HP Pavilion 500-267ef
And I already had 2 monitors SAMSUNG SyncMaster 2232BW 22''
I can connect 1 screen via the HDMI port, but I can't find how to connect the second one.
On this PC, there seem to be 2 different graphic cards, as the HDMI port is at one place, and then, there are 2 other ports (DVI, VGA) at a different place.
Moreover, for some strange reason, there is a plastic stuff on each one of the DVI and VGA ports with this inscription "Do not remove". So this would mean that we can't use these ports !!!?
Last detail : there's no documentation at all. And this HP website just says "connect the 2 monitors, and start the PC". Jeez, thanks a lot for your help HP!
I have tried all the possibilities with the 3 ports, and started thinking that it was impossible. But the HP website says this PC does handle 2 different monitors, so I guess there must be a solution...
Now, after reading a few threads dealing with the same kind of problems but on other models, I start thinking this might be a problem of signal conversion for the second monitor, but I don't know what do do.
Thanks a lot for your help.
J.

The integrated video is not available if a graphics card is installed... and a Radeon R7 240 is installed. Don't attempt to use the integrated video ports behind the black plastic covers.
1 - HDMI (digital only) 2 - DVI-A (digital and analog<via DVI-to-VGA adapter>)
HDMI resolution: 1920 x 1080 (1080p)
DVI (single-link) resolution: 1920 x 1200 x 32bpp at 60Hz
Analog VGA resolution (with adapter): 2048 x 1536 x 32bpp at 60Hz
Supports up to two displays at the same time
According to the specs for your Samsung 2232BW Monitors, these monitors have 1 x DVI-D and 1 x VGA each. You will need to purchase extra cables and/or adapters to properly connect both monitors. Please see below for connections;
BEST
Computer --> DVI-D cable --> Monitor #1
Computer --> HDMI-to-DVI cable --> Monitor #2
GOOD
Computer --> DVI-to-VGA adapter --> VGA cable --> Monitor #1
Computer --> HDMI-to-DVI cable --> Monitor #2

Hi,
Firstly, the following link shows specs of your computer:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04104572
and the following link shows all documents:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&lc=en&product=6884705
Based on the above specs, you can use two monitors at the same times using DVI and HDMI ports of the Radeon card. Normally system will disable the onboard card when adding an external card (in this case the Radeon) therefore users can't use ports which are covered.
Regards.

Ty BH for your answer,
I just noticed there were 4 ports and not 3 as I mentioned in my 1st post.
So, thanks to your answer, I guess the radeon card is the horizontal one, with the 2 uncovered ports (HDMI + DVI) ?
In such a case, I need a HDMI/DVI or HDMI/VGA converter, as my monitors only accept DVI or VGA.
Am I right?
