HP 2311x
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
So ive had my hp 2311x for a couple years, and I decided to move my computer to my room. When I plugged my monitor back in, it said hdmi was active, but the default source was dvi and the auto switch source was off. I cant change the settings because the settings menu wont open unless a source is in use. Ive had this problem before, and I know its a problem with the monitor because it says my hdmi source is active. Has anyone had this problem too that could offer wisdom? All is appreciated

Have you tried your graphics card update for your monitor to see if that works? Plus surely the source is HDMI output as well not dvi?

Ive tried everything to fix it ive connected it to my laptop too and still nothing. A hard reset doesnt seem to do anything. Ive connected my computer to an old monitor I had and it worked fine. At this point im just curious is the warranty is still valid so I can exchange it
