I am upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7 and the Upgrade Advisor states that NVIDIA nForce 10/100 Ethernet needs the latest driver. The current driver is 67.8.9.0, 8-1-2008. I cannot find the uodate on the NVIDIA site! This is the only action the Advisor mentions.

Hi:

What is the model # of your PC?

There are no standalone nVidia network drivers.

You need to download and install the nForce chipset driver which contains the motherboard drivers and network drivers.

But you have to know what chipset is in your PC in order to install the correct nForce chipset driver.

Hi, Graham:

Below is the link to the motherboard specs for your PC:

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01321559

Your model has the NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE onnboard video with the nForce 430 chipset.

This is the latest chipset driver. It will have the network adapter driver and other motherboard drivers as well.

I forgot to ask what bit version of W7 you installed, so I have provided the links to both the 32 and 64 bit versions of the driver.

32 bit:

64 bit:

You can also get the latest video driver from this link.  Just select the GeForce 6 series video.

If you want the latest audio drivers you can get them at the link below.  Accept the agreement. Download and install the driver for the W7 version you have (32/64).

IS there anyone who can answer this question?

Hello ggmam,

Someone can possibly answer your question, once you ask it.

What problems are you having?

What make / model computer are you using?

What operating system?

If the question / statement is the same as this thread is about then yes it's already been answered, just above your post.

Hello,

I am trying to upgrade my desktop from Vista to Windows 7. Using the Upgrade advisor it is giving me the same requirement to update my MVIDIA nForce 10/100 Ethernet Driver. My PC is a Pavilion a1730n. How do I find out the chipset and if it's driver is up to date?

Thanks,

Amanda

Hi, Amanda:

This is the latest chipset driver for the chipset in your PC.

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/14874/en-us

This will also update the ethernet driver...

I see that your PC originally shipped with Vista 32 bit, so I posted the 32 bit driver.
