hello and thank you for your reply. i am replying to be clear on what went wrong with the bios i flashed (5.43).it has changed my bios  Model Number to p6267c  Product Number to NY591AA-ABA Build ID to 94NAv6PrA3  THEY SHOULD BE Model number a6325.uk Product Number KA776AA do you think you can help as any help would be great thank you.

Thank you for the bios (5.39) and for the help. i have flashed with this bios it works ok but now my model number is p6280t and the product number is AW012AV-ABA and the build id is 94NAv6PcA3. I think i need a Bios ripped from a a6325.uk for me to get back my model number (a6325.uk).Thank you for all your help if you find a Bios for a6325.uk please post thank you very for all your help.

Let us know if your HP recovery disks still work since your bios now shows a different model.

Big_Dave,  NO the HP recovery disks do not work at all now Bios is shows a different model & Build ID.

You'll either have to get the motherboard re-tattooed by an authorized repairman or reflash the bios with the model dependent information.

Big_Dave How do i reflash the bios with the model dependent information.I have used SMBCFG.exe & dmi.exe in dos to get Model Number & Product Number & serial Number back but i can not get Build ID back as it is read only .I have used  Bios v5.32  from HP for this pc (a6325.uk) But there is no bios logo or Model Number/Product Number/Build ID After Flash Thank for Relpy & Any Help.

If the old bios will not do it then you are back to option #1.
