I want to download a new graphics driver for my PC, however the drivers provided by HP are fairly old. To get around this problem I want to download the latest generic Intel graphics drivers from the Intel website, however I am aware that some computer manufactures modify their graphics driver software which can lead to incompatibility issues. Would you be able to tell me if HP has modified the intel HD 530 graphics on my PC and if so, is it still safe to install the generic Intel graphics drivers?
Note: my computer is

Hi:
The HP Intel driver on your PC's support page has a different setup information file than the latest one directly from Intel does.
So, trying to just install the Intel graphics driver will result in a 'this PC does not meet the minimum requirements error, or a use the graphics driver from your OEM error.'
However, you can try manually updating the current driver with the newest one from Intel as follows...
First, create a system restore point, so you can go back to the restore point you created before attempting to manually install the generic driver from Intel.
Then download the latest Intel graphics driver...zip file, not the exe file, from the link below. (2nd one down on the left)
Unzip the file to its folder and note the location of the folder. Normally both files will be in your Downloads folder, which is fine.
Go to the device manager and click on the Intel graphics driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and then at the bottom of that window, select the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
Click on Have Disk, and browse to the Intel graphics driver file you unzipped>Graphics>igdlh64, and see if the driver installs that way.
Then restart the PC.
