OK, since you mentioned the BCM bluetooth adapter, the only wireless card that could be installed in your notebook is the Broadcom 4313.

So, below is the link to the wireless driver you need for that.

The product specs for your desktop PC indicate it shipped with Windows XP, correct?

I need help please, I was given a presario sr1020nx, hopefully if I can get it's internet connection problem fixed it will be faster than this other old one.

I have tried several drivers and nothing works. It does light up when I plug in the ethernet, so hopefully there's hope.

Oh also its a different hard drive then it came with, so no way to get recovery from it. ugh!

Hi:

According to the motherboard specs the sr1080nx has a realtek 8101 networking chip.

See if the first driver on the list works for you.

Hi Paul, thankyou for helping me so soon. I appreciate that.

I just tried your suggestion and I still get the yellow question mark, and its telling me to shutdown and plug realtek pci card to complete installation.  I can't it's integrated. .. lol.

I did find before, one listed in the update driver thats seems to be close to working and it shows a driver when I install it and no yellow marks, but I get limited or no connection. The one I found in there is called RealtekRT8139/810xfamilyfast ethernet. So could that be it since it nearly works and I just don't know what I'm doing, or it's still not the right one either? 

I also had problems with audio, I found it's driver,it's fine now,, but I still have a problem with the video controller too, but I don't know what that is under in update driver section.

Hi:

Please go into the device manager and click on both the network controller and video controller.

Then click on the Details tab.

Post the hardware ID's you see there for each device and I will look around some more.

You mentioned sr1080nx,,,,is that the same as what I have, mine says it's ... sr1020nx?

There's No Ethernet controller listed, this first string is Network Adapter, if there is a difference. That was all I seen in update drivers that looked like something to do with internet.

Sorry, that was a typo...

That ethernet driver should have worked because that is what the hardware ID decodes to..an RTL8139 , and the motherboard specs state an RTL8101L, which as you can see from the top of that driver page, the driver covers both of whatever it is 8101 or 8139.

The video adapter driver is this...
