You're very welcome, Randomer.

Hi, pumpkineater59:

Below is the link to the XP driver you need for the hardware ID of PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_104C:

You want the first file listed for XP 32 bit.

Paul,

Thanks for the link. I downloaded the installer. Turns out the Windows Installer and the Windows Management Instrumentation were not started. Even after starting the WMI, the Intel packge errors out with WMI not started.

Checking my services, I see most automatic services not being started. I have something else going on now. Not sure what, as I've used this disc to install before.

I believe I should be set for the LAN drivers. Thanks alot for finding them for me.

Hopefully, you will get the issue sorted out.

I have re-installed Windows 7 Premium Home 64bit and now my ethernet controller driver, network controller, PCI device and PCI simple communications controller are all missing. What do I need to do?

My laptop is a HP Pavillion g6 series

The seriel code on the bottom is: 584037 - 001

Thanks,

Charlotte

Hi, Charlotte:

Please post the product number for your g6. That can be found on the same sticker as the serial number.

Also post the hardware ID's for the items needing drivers.

If you don't know where to find the hardware ID, please use the guide at the link below.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your reply.

The product number is x16-96072 or 00196-192-866-551 (wasn't sure which number it was).

The hardware ID thing came up with:

PCI/VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_1483103C&REV_01

PCI/VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_1483103C

PCI/VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&CC_028000

PCI/VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&CC_0280

Thanks for helping 🙂 really appreciate it

You're very welcome.

Below is the link to the wireless card driver you need.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-107849-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en

Those other numbers are not the product number.

If you know how to get to your notebook's support and driver page you need to download and install the Intel Management Interface Engine driver and for the PCI device, you need to install the Realtek Card Reader driver.

Because there are several versions of these drivers, I can't help you any further without knowing the full model # of your g6 or the product number.

Here is a link to a guide for finding the product number, as I guess I did not provide you with adequate instructions.
