Does anyone know where to buy a PCIe x1 riser cable where the connectors on end are mounted on a right angle to the cable?

My motherboard only has two PCIe slots, with the x1 slot being right next to the x16 slot. I have a graphics card plugged into the x16 slot and like most cards, the heatsink and fan cover up the x1 slot, making it impossible to use that slot for anything.

There exist riser cables that you can plug into a PCIe slot and then plug a card into the other end, however all the cables I can find have the connectors mounted straight on the end of the cable, which causes the same problem as trying to use a card in the slot, namely that the graphics card is in the way. Additionally, my motherboard is short, so there are two slots in the case below the bottom of the board. One of these slots would be perfect for mounting a card on the end of a cable, but if the connector isn't on a right angle, it won't fit.

I've seen pictures of such a cable, but I've never found anywhere to buy one.

I'd like to add a USB 3.0 card to this system. PCIe x1 cards go for less than $20. A standard PCI card (I have two free PCI slots) costs about $60 and won't give full performance because of the limitation of the PCI standard. A PCIe card and a riser cable with right angle connectors would solve the problem perfectly.

I could get a x16 riser cable for the graphics card, but it would have to be long enough to go over any USB 3.0 card I might add. Since the cables aren't that long, I'd probably have to chain two of them, plus buy a right angle connector for the card end. Two cables, a right angle adpater and a USB 3.0 card starts getting close to the cost of the PCI USB 3.0 card, so that's not really an attractive option.

I'll never understand why board designers put a x1 slot right next to the x16 slot knowing that it will almost certainly be blocked by any graphics card the user installs. How about leaving a space between them? Or reversing the order so that the x1 slot is on the empty side of the x16 card?

Anyway, does anyone know where to buy a PCIe x1 riser cable with right angle connectors?

Why not take a look at what is on offer at NewEGG.com.

They provide images. IWhy haven't you used Google's search engine to find an image of the available cards.
