Hi Malygris,
unfortunately nothing seems to help. Yes, I have tried the monitori with an other computer and with different kind of cables. The point is that the monitor works for a while, then it goes blank. If I take off the powercable and after a while put it back, the monitor sometimes start to work again - but not allways. And if the picture comes back, it does not last very long (after few minutes it goes blank again).

Have you tried to restore the factory defaults on the display?

HP will never admit that it's model defect.

Exact same issue. Didn't happen until within a few weeks after the warranty expiring, lucky me. It started as going black randomly, then escalated to not working at all (always black, no button response) but still had a power light. Now, it just gave up all together. I can't get the menu up, I can't get a picture, nothing.
I'd like to see HP address the issue rather than suggest bad cables. With the number of people on this thread alone, clearly this is beyond bad cables and drivers. I'd like to think we can safely move past initial debug steps like "is it on? is it plugged in? Either give a valid suggestion on how to clear this up, or own up to a bad part/monitor even if you're not going to do anythinga bout it. Admitting it is the first step to all of our sanity.
I like these monitors/boat anchors when they work. I'd like to keep them if they can be fixed. Has anyone ever successfully resurrected one from this problem?
