I have an HP Envy h8-1485ea that I have just loaded Windows 7 Ultimate on whcih is running fine save that the device manager keeps showing a missing SMBus Driver.

 

I cannot locate this driver - ive tried uninstalling, updating and getting device manager to serach the internet.

 

I think from reading that my PC is running a Pegatron IPMMB-FM motherboard, HP only support Windows 8 for thsi PC which I hate but there must be a way of fnding a driver that will get my SMBus Driver working ?

 

Please help...

Most of the Windows 7 drivers for the HP ENVY h8-1420t CTO Desktop Computer should work for you, including the Chipset Family SMBus Host Controller driver you are looking for.

I tried that sadly  it comes up with 'your system does not meet the opersting system requirements. Update has been cancelled. (9997)' - any clues ?

Please try the Intel® Driver Update Utility. Just click"Check your system for the latest updates"
