Power on password

Hi I have a HP laptop and I'm having the power on password problem. The code that comes up is 54542468,

i have tried all the methods of removing the cmos battery and waited for more than 24 hrs before turning on the hp 550. the power on password still persists . when i type password it will not be showing characters and if i press enter it shows another line for power on pass word. im not getting any error code. can someone please help me

now i have another problem after battling with the cmos battery for so long  when trying to power on the laptop it will not show on the screen. any help will be appreciated
