Hi,

I have a Compaq Evo N620c. I also get the Power-on password, but I don't get an errorcode after 3 times trying. Any idea what remedy woould work for me ?

HVN.

Remove AC, main battery and the mini PCI cover under the laptop.

Then remove the RTC "BIOS" battery.

Let stand for a few minutes .

Then replace.

@ RE051ST: Thank you for the suggestions and link. Unfortunately, after trying out twice (first leaving the RTC battery out for 3 and second time for10 minutes) the Power-On password is still there. More suggestions are welcome..
