Hi! @Happyologist, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand your laptop is unable to read or recognize SD Cards on your PC.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

Have you tried checking with different SD cards?

Please provide the operating system and product number of your PC to assist you better.

Try the steps recommended below.

Follow these steps:
- Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.
- Type troubleshooting in the search box and then press enter.
- Click hardware and sound and run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.
- Follow the On-screen instructions. Once this is done, restart the computer and check the status.

Right click on Start button, type Device Manager and Enter.
Find the drivers which need to be installed and also see if there are any warning symbols. If yes update the drivers.
Right click and click on Properties, and go to Driver tab and click on Update driver.

I'll watch your reply!

Have a pleasant day ahead! 🙂
