HP ENVY Desktop - TE01-1165t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I plan to upgrade the GPU and PSU in my HP ENVY TE01-1165t desktop. I want to replace the present GTX 1650 GPU with a RTX 2060 Super GPU that requires a minimum 550 Watt PSU. Does HP have a 550 or 600 Watt PSU that will replace the present 400 Watt unit currently installed? If so, what is part number and ordering information requirements.  Thank you...

@SteveRV4 -- welcome to this peer-to-peer discussion forum.

I searched the HP Warehouse: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer/?searchtext=TE01-1165t

and found 4 computers like yours.

However, the specifications for each system indicate a factory-installed 400 W power-supply, with no alternatives.

From the page: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database

I see: Being a dual-slot card, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER draws power from 1x 8-pin power connector, with power draw rated at 175 W maximum.  ... Its price at launch was 399 US Dollars.

So, I am not sure about that stated requirement of 600 Watts.

If the GPU takes 175 W out of the 400 W of your power-supply, you have 225 Watts remaining for all the other components. A high-end CPU might take 100 W. But, USB devices, fans, and a SSD disk-drive probably will take only 1/4 of the remaining 125 Watts.

Thank you for your comments. Nvidia spec sheet for RTX 2060 Super says "Minimum 550 W or greater system power supply ..." That is why I asked the question about PSU upgrade. I see HP sells a 500 W alternative that will fit the case and motherboard. If I stay with the 400 W PSU as you suggest, is there any other considerations I should consider. Thanks...

Just check the manufacturer data of the card found, 400w it could well be too fair
check the dimensions also if too big it might not fit, be well ventilated
