Can someone tell me what the difference is in the 3 letter extension on a HP desktop model number?
for example I ordered this OmniPro XZ823UT#ABA but where I ordered it they say now it is out of stock and will be for a time. But they have this one in stock XZ823UT#ABC. the sales person was not able to tell me what the difference is but she wasn't sure if the C stands for another language code like french. I do not need a french computer so I didnt switch the order until I can find out what it really means but somehow i cannot find that info. #ABA apparently stands for North America, but can someone tell me what #ABC stands for.
Thank You

Hi,
Please check this:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108
You can always read their specs to see the differences.

Thanks for the answer but that link does not supply the answer to my question. I checked there already yesterday. When you compare the specs for the 2 models they are pretty much identical except the product key extension ABA to ABC, but no where does it list what that extension means.

Hi,
In short: different model based on the previous model. This can be an upgraded one (bigger HDD or better something, ...) or can be a downgraded one or can be a mixture of both due to some parts are not available for that batch.
