I disabled secure boot & enable legacy. The installation of linux said, complete. Reboot & goes directly into windows. My opinon it's the preinstalled OS. HP should correct it. If I new this ahead of time I wouldn't have bought this HP computer. I hope you have more idears, thanks.

suggests that the "Grub" boot-manager should be used to boot Linux.

Please give us a little more information to work with.
What is the exact wording of the error-message?
Does it occur when your computer starts to read from media in the optical disk-drive? Or, later?
Which version of Linux?
Which release of that version?
Is Windows running when you insert the Linux media?
