Hello promobroker,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I understand that all the text on your computer is displaying in bold and you wish to change this. I would be happy to assist you, but first I would encourage you to post which operating system you are using. And whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit as with this we can provide you with accurate information.
Which Windows operating system am I running?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?
Please re-post with the requested information and I would be happy to provide you with assistance. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
Please click the "Thumbs Up" on the bottom right of this post to say thank you if you appreciate the support I provide!

Thank you for responding to my post requesting additional information. I am providing you with some steps below for you to be rid of the bold text:
Step 1. Click on Start
Step 2. Click on Control Panel
Step 3. Click on Appearance and Personalization
Step 4. Click on Personalization
Step 5. Click on Window Color and Appearance (If the Appearance Settings dialog box is not displayed, at the bottom of the page, click Open classic appearance properties)
Step 6. Click Advanced
Step 7. In the Item list click the part of Windows where you want to change the font (example, if you want to change the menu font, click Menu in the list)
Step 9. Un-click the the "b" to remove the bold
Step 10. Repeat this process for any font you do not want bolded
Step 11. Click OK

Hello again promobroker,
I am sorry my steps did not resolve your issue. I was working on the assumption that it was all of your fonts as you said "Everything I veiw on my screen is in bold. How do I unbold?", but that is okay I have some other steps for you to try to see if we can get things back to normal for you. Try the steps below to see if we can get this fixed for you.
Step 1. Click Start
Step 2. Click Control Panel
Step 3. Click Fonts
Step 4. Click on "Font Settings" link on left sidebar of Fonts Folder
Step 5. Click on "Restore default fonts settings" button
Step 6. Restart your computer
If the above does not work try the following steps:
Step 1. Click Start
Step 2. In the Run Prompt type CMD and hit Ctrl+Shift + Enter at the prompt hit Yes
Step 3. Type "regsvr32/u mlang.dll" and hit enter. You will get "DllUnregisterServer in mlang.dll succeeded."
Step 4. Click "OK"
Last thing I can think to try is:
Step 1. Click Start
Step 2. In the Run Prompt type CMD and hit Ctrl+Shift + Enter
Step 3. Click Yes
Step 4. Type "c:\windows\fonts"
Step 5. Click Alt + F
Step 6. Click Install New Font
Step 7. Browse to c:\windows\fonts
Step 8. Select List all fonts
Step 9. Click Select All
Step 10. Click Install
Step 11. Click Yes
Step 12. Click on 'Yes' to each and every dialog that appears
This should resolve any font issues you have on your computer. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
