Hellow Paul
i'm back with some info about the graphic cards avilable in local markets, i've come up with Geforce 8400GS spec = (http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-8400-gs)
I'm intrested in buying this one, tell me if it can work easily with my dc7800 small form factor and can it play games on optimum settings?
Thanx
Sheraz

Hi, Sheraz:
That is a good card. I have two 8400 GS's.
Just make sure you get one that comes with the Low Profile mounting bracket!
The one pictured shows the standard bracket which will not fit in your SFF case. Many times they come with the larger bracket installed and it has the low profile ones included in the box. You normally just remove 2 Philips screws, remove the large mounting bracket, and put the low profile bracket on
I don't know how good that card is for playing games. I do not play video games.
Certainly, it will be better than the onboard Intel video.

Hi Paul
I'm interested in buying what you'd recommended i.e. Redon HD6450 and dropping the Idea of 8400 because the games I want to play are not supported by this card, but the problem is that my PC support 240watts (hp dc 7800) small form factor core 2 quad Q6600, and the card u recommended support 400watts check the website below
tell me will it work on my PC because u've mentioned earlier that wattages matter in selection of GPU's?
If u are comfortable with ur suggestion then I'll buy it tomorrow otherwise plz suggest me a card from the link below because they have biggest stock of computer accessories in my region
http://www.czone.com.pk/graphic-cards-pakistan-ppt.154.aspx u can also suggest cards other then that,
also make sure that the cost should be less then 7000 Rs (local currency mentioned on the link above) 1GB, Shadder 4 and Direct X 11 or above.
Also suggest if I can upgrade my power supply and casing for adjusting the cards that comes in mounting brackets other then low profile
Sorry about bothering u a lot
thanks

Hi:
The 8200 Elite SFF uses the Radeon HD 6450 as an optional card. It has the same 240WP/S as yours.
See the specs (pages 2 and 13).

I don't know anything about modifying HP Business desktop PC's regarding different power supplies or cases.
I perform all my PC upgrades within their existing parameters.

Hi Paul,
My names Jason and I need to ask you something.
I am looking to buy a new desktop to replace my older Pentium 4.
I found a HP Compaq DC7800 SFF with a Core 2 Duo E8400 / 3.0GHz with 2GB of ram and 80GB that looks like it will work for my needs.
I am a gamer so I know that the built in graphics card won't do...
I was wondering if you could recommed card similar to these:
At min. setting: ATI Radeon HD 2x00 or better* / nVidia 7800 or better* Intel 4100 Integrated Graphics or better*

Hi, Jason:
You are rather limited with the 240W P/S.
I think this is the most powerful card you dare to go to. Some of the reviewers are using it in PC's with 220W power supplies.
I just hope the P/S can handle the load if you do a lot of gaming.
