Hello gusde,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.

I understand you are trying to install a USB 2.03 Card Reader on your computer? I am assuming (by looking at your previous posts) that you meant to say your computer was the HP Pavilion 20-b110l All-in-One Desktop PC. Now this computer came with a card reader, but came with FreeDOS 2.0 as an operating system and when I look at the HP Pavilion 20-b110z All-in-One CTO Desktop PC Drivers I see no drivers for Windows 8.1.

So going with the assumption that you purchased a USB 2.0 Card Reader and are trying to install it on Windows 8.1 as you stated. This is where things get murky, as this did not come with your computer HP will not have drivers for it, but the operating system should. If Windows 8.1 does not automatically detect the USB 2.0 Card Reader I would recommend that you contact the manufacturer of the for instructions as to how to correctly install it on Windows 8.1. This is now an operating specific issue and would be better dealt with between the Card Reader Manufacturer and Microsoft.

I hope I have helped set you in the proper direction to get this resolved. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
