Blue Screen of Death (BSOD for short), also called Stop Error, emerges whenever Windows detects a serious error it cannot recover from, and it shuts down or restart itself to avoid any damage. Any version of Windows would be encountered with BSOD, definitely including Windows 10. Windows 10 Blue Screen of Death could appear on boot or after update, such as software update, driver update, and system update. It could also emerge after login or during upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7 or 8.1.

I have this, drivers won't work so BSOD comes up as Choose Keyboard, no error message or number, just a blue screen with choose keyboard and english, etc for all languages.  But you keyboard and mouse won't work.

I've shut off and restarted hitting F11, contineous and can get to recovery manager, but when i go to system restore it says there is not a restore set up.  probably disabled.

cannot get passed this

@adowney

Thank you for joining HP Forums.}

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

As I understand the keyboard blue screen of death windows 10

No worries as I'd love to help, however, I need a few more details to provide an accurate solution:

Have you captured the error code that appears during the BSOD appearance?  If yes, it would help greatly if you could add it to your reply.

Did you attempt starting in safe mode? to check if it works in there.

While you reply to my questions, here's a few things you can do:

follow the below steps to capture and reply back with the error message/code to identify the issue and find a permanent fix:

  • In Windows, search for and open View advanced system settings.
  • In the Advanced tab, under Startup and Recovery, click Settings.
  • Under System Failure, remove the check mark next to automatically restart, and then click OK.
  • Restart the computer to apply the change.
  • The computer no longer restarts automatically when a blue screen error occurs.

For more details: click here

Please reply back with the error code as the issue is code specific and it would be rather easier to provide an accurate solution using the same.

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.

Hello

Suggest you use different PC and download Windows 10 Media Creation tool from Microsoft.

Then create Windows 10 installation media on USB stick.

Now boot to USB media on this PC and select repair.

Then Troubleshoot.

Try various options to recover.

Failure means you will have to reset or install Windows 10.

Data loss will happen if you clean install. Data can be saved if you select keep files and folders when reseting PC.

Grzy
