Hello jdglebreton,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I understand that your HP TouchSmart IQ500 All-In-One PC will not power up properly. I am providing you with an HP Support document:
Step 1. Unplug your computer's power adapter from the wall and from the computer
Step 2. Hold down the power button on your computer for at least one minute
Step 3. Plug the power adapter back into your computer and then into a different wall outlet (for this step it is important to ensure you are not plugged into a powerbar or powerstrip)
Step 4. Power up your computer
If your computer does not start up correctly and shuts down again I suspect your power adapter is possibly defective. HP no longer carries your specific power adapter for order, but you should be able to locate one online or locally using the following part number 5189-2999.
Please re-post if you still require additional support. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a wonderful day!
