Just wanted to thank you for this post - hope you are still reading them!

The hairdryer trick really worked within 20 seconds and I was nearly trashing the computer.

This was a very helpful thread. I brought my computer to my parents for their 50th anniversary to display a movie that I did not have time to render and this green blinking light went on. Luckily I found this thread and was able to fix it by following the procedure of unplugging the motherboard as indicated above. I really appreciate it. Could have never pulled if off without this help. Thank you very much.

All these replys are fine and I got the pc to work and boot up again however, after shutting it down and trying to restart it regularly there is no power AGAIN and the green lite is flashing again. WHAT IS THE PERMINET FIX OTHER THAN BUYING ANOTHER PC.  LOL

Great advice on the hairdryer.  I'm back up and running!  Thank you for your simple, inexpensive advice!

Hair dryer worked for me. Blowing it in the power supply made the light flash faster. When I moved the hair dryer to the auxiliary fan, the light went solid right away. Then hit the power button on the front and the PC lit up just fine.

Thank you people....The hair dryer worked for me also. However, if you unplug the computer and move it somewhere else you have to use the hair dryer all over again.
