Hello MAHRAJA71,

I see that you are having problems with the HP support assistant on your computer. I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the support assistant program. That should correct the issue.

The support assistant can be removed through "Add or Remove Programs" in the control panel.

You can reinstall the program from your recovery manger.

Here is a link that will walk your through the steps to reinstall.

Let me know how everything goes.

Have a good day.

This program is a joke, I have reinstalled, completely recovered entire computer, we have thousands of entries all across the web with no real help. If you call, they walk you through another install. It eats resources, fails constantly, yet is important. HP has not been helpful to me in over 3 months of calling on my days off which are far and few between. I honestly feel they do not care anymore.

I have been walked thru this 14 times in 3 months. No, it comes back

May I suggest you look through the forum to see what other people have tried to resolve the problem and then post what did or what didn't work.  You may find my earlier post helpful.

Good solution; this malware devastated me and I was delighted to rid my computer if it toxic presence.  Now, why would I wish to reinstal it?
