Yes, and it didn't work.  I got a message that said the download didn't work because I didn't have it HPSF.exe on my computer!  I didn't have it because I followed the suggested solution.

Use Recovery Manager in your Start ,All Programs list to reinstall original HP Support Assistant:

If you continue to get errors with the fresh install try updating it by running the download without uninstalling this time.
