Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

When I start up my PC i get a cycle of beeps. Three long and four short beeps five or six times and then my PC operates 'normally' as far as I can tell. HP help have tried to help and asked me to perfom system recovery, but no lock getting rid of the beeps.

Hello

Maybe can assist you with this problem. You have not provided model of PC so I can only guess when your pC was made by HP.

Please refer to this HP Support info on possible cause of your PC's error code.

Have reviewed for PC's made after April 2015.

There is one beep code pattern that may match your PC's error code. It means:

Indicates potential power system failure. Troubleshoot steps to follow are:

  1. Reduce to minimum config (CPU, System board, PSU, 1 DIMM of memory) and isolate failed component.
  2. Reduce further if issue persists.
  3. Test known good PSU.
  4. Replace affected component.
  5. If unable to confirm source, replace CPU, System Board, PSU.

Grzy
