Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

When you replaced the hard drive, how did you restore your PC setup to it?

If the old drive was still working, you should have "cloned" it to the new drive -- that would have retained all the previous working drivers.

We can proceed when you provide the information.

Thanks

we had the new hard drive installed at a local computer shop.  we were told that the old hard drive had been damaged (during a move) and it was not accessable therefore nothing was recovered from it.
