Hello, So I had a little problem.
I dont know what GPU is right for me.
I am going to buy a gaming pc in the future, and I was thinking about GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition (EVGA)
But My monitor will be only full HD (1920x1080) So is the 1080 GPU is overkill? Or I should go with GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition (EVGA) I heard its good for 2K gaming But I wanted to ask.. It will be OKAY for full HD.. extra FPS?
(The 1080 is good for 4K gaming)

Hi,
It is ok to run higher specs video cards on lower resolution monitors. Who knows one day you are going to buy 4K monitor(s) and no need to change video card again.
To be honest, I've got no idea why you ONLY concern about monitors and ignore the very basic point "will my machine support this".
Regards.

Sorry, But I asked if its okay to have the gtx 1080 founders edition with a monitor that got only HD even tho I heard gtx 1080 is good for 4K gaming.
I didnt ask if my PC supports it.. And yes.. My PC will support it I am not that dumb, Just asked whats better.. gtx 1080 or 1070 to save some money cause 1080 is not cheap and 1070 is cheaper.

Thank you.
Yeah, I just heard that gtx 1080 is better for 4K Gaming and 1070 is for 2K so i was wondering what is better..
Also My PC WILL support it.. I already checked the size od my motherboard if it will fit to the case.. all the memory speed.. Watts that needed for this build.. just was thinking.. "Can I save money with the GPU?" So I just asked here to get everything clear.
any way
Thanks for your help! 🙂
