Hello,
I am trying to connect my new HP omen Accelerator GA1-1000ng to my Lenovo T580. I have followed the instructions at hp.com/go/omenga1-10
My NVM Firmware is 14.00 and Thundebolt software version 17.4.78.21.
I installed the NVIDIA GTX 1060 in the accelerator, and connected power and thunderbolt to pc. When I connect the accelerator to my T580, the red icon light on the front comes on and the fan on the graphics card spins up but the accelerator is not acknowledge by Windows
When also I open the Accelerator app, I receive a 'Realtek LightWeight Filter driver is not installed or failed to load' error.
My issue is similar to:
however, there are no instructions how to update the firmware.
Any assistance will be appreciated!
Thank you,
Allen

Hi,
I finally got it working when I realize that the docking could be used to charge the battery of the laptop i.e. when I removed the power supply cable from the laptop and then plugged in the docking station it was recognize immediately, all the driver were installed automatically and even the Omen accelerator app opens with no errors.
AND!!! as it turns out, I was wrong about the station charging the laptop but plugging the power back in after the OMEN is functioning is fine... phew
