HP Reverb G2 Virtual Reality Headset
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm hopeful I can get some traction on this issue. I've not used my Reverb G2 for a while because my system wasn't high enough spec.

I bought a new 4090 a week or so ago and was excited to use my Reverb - no dice, WMR is telling me to connect a cable with an error code 1-4.

I've tried 2 other Display Port sockets on my GPU, and all USB ports (using the included adapter for Type-A, as well as the Type-C on my motherboard).

In all instances, upon plugging in the HMD, it starts up (LEDs are lit) and headphones are emitting audio. I can also trace my room boundaries so I know it is connecting.

Upon googling, I noted that there are recent reports of HP replacing cables.

I've created a new support account, but I cannot figure out why I cannot raise a support request.

Hoping someone at HP sees this and can help me navigate the support process so I can order a new cable.

Here's a video showing tracing of room boundaries, with no video (didn't capture the 1-4 error, but did capture Steam VR telling me to connect, am at work at present).

Hi! I'm trying to use the HP Reverb G2 and my computer is not recognizing it at all. I've tried different ports and cables, but still no luck. I've got an Error Code 1-4. Do you have any advice? Error code: 1-4. Video uploaded to channel to embed it into HP support requests. Update 7th November ...
