OMEN Vector Mouse
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello everyone, I have an issue here with my mouse Hp omen vector essential which is the sensor is not working despite everything else -the buttons and the scrolling wheel working perfectly- and its constantly just blinking red not even RGB as it should. So could anyone explain to me what could have gone wrong or is it the sensor just dead ? Thanks in advance.

Hi @ahmedsalout,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like there could be a few things going on with your HP Omen Vector Essential mouse.

  • Sensor Malfunction: Since the sensor is not working and the mouse is blinking red, it's possible that the sensor itself might be faulty. This would be consistent with a non-functional sensor while other parts of the mouse work.
  • Driver/Software Issues: Sometimes, the issue could be related to software or driver conflicts. Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your mouse. You can check HP's support website or use the Omen Command Center to update or reinstall drivers.
  • Connection Issues: If it's a wired mouse, ensure the connection is secure. If it's wireless, check the batteries and the connection between the mouse and the receiver.
  • Firmware Issues: The mouse might need a firmware update. Check if there are any updates available for the mouse's firmware through HP's support resources.
  • Hardware Damage: If none of the above solutions work, it's possible there could be internal hardware damage, especially if the mouse has been dropped or exposed to moisture.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
