Hello  @Amit96

There are many configurations of the HP 240 G6, so I don't know what you have exactly.

If you have an intel i5 7th gen or an i3 6th gen, you can have have a total of 16GB.

If its the Celeron, only 8Gb.

What is the purpose of the memory upgrade and how much is installed now?

If this is for gaming and you already have 8GB, 16 probably wont help you much. Your specs are low with only a dual cord cpu and integrated graphics. Depending on the game, a more powerful laptop might be money well spent.

Crucial memory would be my first option because of their excellent warranty.
