New VR Reverb Consumer Edition Availability

Well, to be fair, the US only opened its business doors at 2pm GMT so they may take a while to promote the launch; however, indeed, the May 6th UK launch looks grim. 😞

I get the feeling the hp reverb will not be on sale in the UK. this hapned with the Samsung oddesey and the oddesey+ for some reason they never launched in UK and the only way of getting them was pre owned off ebay. UK now sells the Oddesey on amazon but the Odessy plus is nowhere to be seen months after usa release. I would be completely stunned if HP suddenly advertised this headsed on sale today when there has been no mention of it pre release. im 100% confident they wont be releasing it in the next month in the UK

I contacted HP USA and Canada, they have no idea, someone however contacted last Thursday the service in question and they answered yes it is available, how many headphones does the customer want..  I do not understand ..

Im lost for words. sh**t show indeed. well they have just lost a customer i now plan to try all the available headsets and pick the best one out of the several other available headsets that actually have their stuff for sale rather than this make beleive headset hp claim they have.

...this company is a sh!t-show-circus when it comes to being CLEAR about upcoming release dates and availability, sorry not sorry HP, and it's ESPECIALLY aggravating when you hear the LEAD designer of this headset on Youtube Say in Plain English, "it WILL be released at the same time WORLDWIDE for EVERYONE",  6 minutes into the video he states this.... total BS!... and Canada will likely get the same treatment as the UK with this Reverb headset, thanks HP for your ridiculous 'Murica first sales tactics and your false advertisements, i hope it bites you in the A$$....getting some BASIC info or even simply being able to Pre-Order SHOULD NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT. 

...and the HP page still says "Notify Me" WELL into may 6th... thanks for nothing!

**edited, and re-posted** go check youtube for "Hands-On with the HP Reverb VR Headset" with Adam Savage's Tested, they talk directly with the Lead designer, HP apparently does not allow this video to be posted and removes it for "Spam" reasons , hmm interesting.....

Its a complete kerfuffle. I ordered it form Amazon on April 26th. And then HP said May 6th and that units were shipping from the factories. And then I asked HP customer service today about status and they said Pro Edition is being released mid-may and they have not heard about a consumer version. Absolutely clueless.

"looks over at Rift S"  SIGH, take my money Facebook, ( i already own a Rift ) but HP are idiots.....and so are you FB, but you're less clueless of the 2 evils.  HP has lost my business, i'm buying a Rift S untill a REAL VR 2.0 comes out.....atleast it can be pre-ordered and will ACTUALLY release when it says it will....F this, HP are a bunch of liars.

lol nailed it. yes this is why i plan to try the headsets before I buy now I did plan to just make the purchase from HP and potentially live to regret it but rift S doesnt seem like a worth while purchase, vive pro is expensive and I would like to see if its worth the extra money, valve also expensive again ill wait to try and if any of them show a modest upgrade to the rift with tpcast wireless adapter ive just sold then Ill make the move but one thing for sure is HP wont even be getting another thought just like their sales team didnt give us another thought or their customer service. I have been on several forums following this and know of atleast 15 people that have now made purchase and pre orders from other companys due to HP first of all pushing back the release date and then lastly lying about todays release.
