Answer:

For the OMEN 600 gaming mouse...

Holding the right and left mouse buttons for 3 seconds resets the mouse back to default settings for both DPI and LOD.

There is no way to change that, its physically designed this way. There is no bios reset or any other work around to fix it.

Whoever typed up the manual for HP neglected to mention this in the instructions.

I'm very confused, I don't understand how every mouse of this type are all corrupted, I just want to know a way to disable this. All it is is when you hold left and right click for like 5 seconds the scroll wheel flashes white I think twice and you stop clicking.

OK, thanks for telling me

Another user claims this update fixed his Omen 600 mouse issue.

If you still have the mouse, could you try the fix and report back if it works?

Download and run this file while the mouse is plugged in...

I had the same problem with my OMEN mouse 600 and this worked for me. I'm so glad i can finally empty a clip by holding leftclick and rightclick without having my mouse stop 3 times!

One thing to mention as was discovered later after the firmware update. It fixes the R/L button action, but it will also disable the ability to reset the mouse settings to default. So you have to decide which ability is worth more to you. Once its updated, it cannot be reversed.
