Hello, 

 

Just a quick question, 

 

Is it possible to upgrade ram on my HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cw1xxx from 6.0 to 8.0? If so what memory would you recommend? 

As is evident, not the biggest computer savvy person when it come to installations.

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide HP Pavilion 15 Laptop PC

 

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info.

 

Looks like you can go to 16 GB (2 x 8 GB).

 

I recommend you go with two of these...

 

Crucial 8GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM | CT8G4SFRA266 | Crucial.com

 

Or they come in a 2 x 8 GB kit...

 

Crucial 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 SODIMM | CT2K8G4SFRA266 | Crucial.com
