HP Reverb G2 Virtual Reality Headset 1N0T5AA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Reverb G2 Virtual Reality Headset 1N0T5AA. Windows 10 Pro. Z390 Chipset, Intel i5 9600K, 32GB RAM, RTX 3080Ti, Corsair RM850x Gold PSU.

I did at one point upgrade to windows 11, but that was giving me problems so I rolled back to windows 10 - however I do not think that has any connection to the problem.

I got the headset back in June and it has been working fine. Last couple of days however there has been no 'life' in the headset, i.e. the activity light on the headset no longet illuminates, the lenses are black. The power light on the connector block is ON.I have attempted to re-seat the plug in both the headset and the connector block with no improvement. I have moved the USB C connector and used the supplied A adapter and tried several USB 3 sockets. I have updated all software, including windows.

When starting the WMR (Windows Mixed Reality Portal), I keep getting the message "Getting Things Ready" then the disconnect bong then a few seconds black sceen before returning to the "Getting Things Ready" message - in a consatnt loop.

Any help or suggestions please? Many thanks in advance.
